Concussion Awareness Symposium

NUM and SAPEK (Student Association of Physical Education and Kinesiology) organized McGill’s first symposium on concussions – to inform and raise awareness of the issues surrounding this “hidden injury,” especially in the setting of sports. A researcher in sports psychology presented his work. There was a Q&A with past and present CFL football athletes. Following this, there were workshops on concussion diagnosis, equipment design, concussion law, and concussion education. Check out the detailed program here. This event won the SUS Collaborative Event of the Year!
